Some homes are beautifully decorated. And then there are homes where you can feel that every detail has been created with genuine love and care. This cortijo, nestled in the hills of Arenas, belongs to the latter category. Terracotta floors, whitewashed walls, handcrafted details, warm natural materials and charming little corners that invite you to sit back and stay a while. A home with authentic Andalusian character that also offers a surprising range of possibilities. The property consists of three independent apartments, making it ideal for sharing with family and friends or creating a small, personalised guesthouse. The largest apartment features two bedrooms and two bathrooms with walk-in showers. The open-plan living area combines traditional terracotta flooring with natural materials, rattan and carefully selected decorative elements. The kitchen, with white cabinetry, colourful tiles and modern appliances, blends harmoniously with this style. The second apartment is smaller but no less charming. It features one bedroom, its own kitchenette and a bathroom, providing everything needed for an independent stay. Here, too, thoughtful details can be found throughout, from decorative tiles to warm natural materials. The third apartment offers a little more space and its own distinctive atmosphere. Alongside the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, it features a living area with a fireplace and a separate office. White walls, large windows and rustic elements create a pleasant balance between brightness and cosiness. The red kitchen cabinets add a distinctive splash of colour, giving this living space its own personality. But as beautiful as the interiors are, this cortijo truly comes into its own outdoors. Natural stone, plants and shaded terraces surround a variety of seating and relaxation areas. There are cosy, sheltered corners perfect for reading, as well as larger terraces ideal for spending time together. Even an outdoor daybed invites you to retreat and unwind in the afternoon. At the heart of the property lies the private swimming pool, surrounded by the mountainous landscape of the Axarquía. It is the perfect place to enjoy the peace and tranquillity and forget about everyday life for a while. The covered outdoor kitchen is another highlight. Handmade tiles, a bespoke worktop and thoughtful details make it far more than just a practical barbecue area. It is a place where you can imagine cooking together, enjoying long meals around the table and making the most of warm Andalusian evenings. What makes this property special is not simply its layout across three apartments. It is the atmosphere. Each living space has its own character. Outside, there is always another favourite spot to discover. And everywhere you look, little details reveal just how much personality this home has. Whether as a home for a large family, a peaceful retreat with room for guests or the perfect starting point for a small B&B, the possibilities are varied. A cortijo that doesn't try to be perfect, but simply has a character all of its own. And perhaps that is exactly why you would want to stay here a little longer.
